Wuhan University 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship "High-level Postgraduate" Program Notice of Admission

The Admission arrangements for the 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship "High level Postgraduate" Program of Wuhan University are as follows： 

The First Batch of Admission

1. Application period: Dec. 1, to Dec. 20, 2022. Please apply at the CSC Online Application System website: https://www.campuschina.org/ and Wuhan University website:  http://admission.whu.edu.cn/.

2. Preliminary evaluation: Dec. 1, to Dec. 20, 2022.  It is taken by the School of International Education, and the qualified application document will be sent to the relevant schools for academic evaluation.

3. Academic evaluation: the relevant schools will evaluate applicants’ academic ability and carry out interview on them. It should be finished before Dec. 30, 2022.

4. Review: The School of International Education will review the application documents, determine candidates and send them pre-admission letters by email. Those who don’t receive the pre-admission letter before Jan. 9, 2023 fail the evaluation of our university.

5. The recommended candidates should complete the online application in the CSC Online Application System before Jan. 12th, 2023, and the application documents should include the pre-admission letter issued by Wuhan University.

The Second Batch of Admission

1. Application period: Dec. 21, 2022 to Feb. 25, 2023. Please apply at the CSC Online Application System website: https://www.campuschina.org/ and Wuhan University website:  http://admission.whu.edu.cn/.

2. Preliminary evaluation: Feb.13 to Feb. 25, 2023.  It is taken by the School of International Education, and the qualified application document will be sent to the relevant schools for academic evaluation.

3. Academic evaluation: the relevant schools will evaluate applicants’ academic ability and carry out interview on them. It should be finished before March 10, 2023.

4. Review: The School of International Education will review the application documents, determine candidates and send pre-admission letters by email to them. Those who don’t receive the pre-admission letter before March 17, 2023 fail the evaluation of our university.

5. The recommended candidates should complete the online application in the CSC Online Application System before March 24, 2023, and the application documents should include the pre-admission letter issued by Wuhan University.

Admission and Registration

1. Final evaluation: The final scholarship winners will be selected by CSC before the end of July, 2023.

2. The official admission document will be delivered by the School of International Education of Wuhan University around early August, 2023.

3. Scholarship recipients should register for admission in accordance with the time specified in the Admission Notice in early September 2023. Please bring the originals of all the required application documents when coming to school for registration. Those who provide pre-graduation certificate when applying should bring the original formal graduation certificate for registration.

It will be regarded as giving up this admission if you fail to register within the time limit without the permission of our university.

Please note:

1.There is no application fee for all the scholarship applicants to Wuhan University. Wuhan University does Not entrust any individual or agent for enrollment. Please contact Wuhan University directly for any affairs concerning enrollment.

2. The uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scan the relevant documents.   Applicants   shall   bear   the   consequences   caused   by   unclear   or unidentifiable uploaded materials.

3. Copy of Ordinary Passport home page should be provided. If the validity of the applicant’s current ordinary passport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport expires before March 1，2024), please apply for a new passport before submitting the application.

4. Proposals to the study plan: A study plan written in Chinese or English shall contain more than 1,000 characters or words; The content shall include completely and clearly your personal introduction, education experiences, the purpose of your study in China, your knowledge of China and Wuhan University, study plan, research direction, and future development vision, etc.

5. Applicants for English-taught master program of clinical medicine should have passed HSK Level 4 or above, and those who have passed HSK Level 3 can apply to take Chinese language training courses for one year, and then move on to their degree study after meeting the requirement.

6. When applying for Chinese-taught master or doctor programs, those who have used Chinese as the language of instruction to obtain a degree in a Chinese university are exempted to provide proof of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). However, the proof that they were instructed in Chinese must be provided.

7. Other additional documents (e.g. certificate of work or internship, award, publications) are encouraged to submit online if available.

8. Applicants do not need to send us hard copies of application documents.
