Transportation from Airport and Railway Station to Wuhan University
From Wuhan Tianhe International Airport
1. A taxi drive to Wuhan University is about RMB120;
2. Take subway to Guang Bu Tun Station, about RMB 6;
3. Airport Shuttle Bus
Hall of Tianhe Airport→Fujiapo Bus Station (in Wuchang District), then take a taxi/bus (No. 413) from Fu Jia Po Bus Station to Wuhan University
Ticket fare: about RMB 32 yuan /person for Airport Shuttle Bus from airport to Fu Jia Po Bus Station; RMB 20 yuan for a taxi/or RMB 2 for bus (No.413) from Fu Jia Po Bus Station to the campus.
By Train
1. From Hankou Railway Station to Wuhan University
a. A taxi drive to Wuhan University is about RMB50;
b. Take Bus No.724 from Hankou Railway Station to Luo Jia Shan Quan Ye Chang Station (Wuhan University) (RMB 2);
c. Take subway to Guang Bu Tun Station, about RMB 4.
2. From Wuchang Railway Station to Wuhan University
a. A taxi drive to Wuhan University is about RMB 25;
b. Take subway to Guang Bu Tun Station, about RMB 2.
3. From Wuhan Railway Station to Wuhan University
a. A taxi drive to Wuhan University is about RMB 40;
b. Take subway to Guang Bu Tun Station, about RMB 2.
Urban traffic
The most convenient way for you to travel in Wuhan is to get the « Wǔhàn tōng » (武 汉通) card, this card will allow you to travel on the subway, buses and even pay your bills in some supermarkets.
Walk down to « Jiēdào kǒu » (街道口) subway C exit from the Wuhan University Main gate by taking the « Wén lǐxuébù » (文理学部) or «Dàxúnhuán »(大循环) school bus if you are from the foreign dormitory.
Ask for help from the customer service's front desk, a staff member will be more than happy to help you getting your transportation card.
A card will cost 20 RMB as a deposit and you can put as much credit as you like
but we recommend students to charge at least 50RMB.
In the event of running out of credit, the Wuhan Tong transportation card can be topped up at any subway station. One can either top up their card at one of the subway stations automated machines. Alternatively you can ask for assistance at subway's information booth. For those who would like to top up their card from home, there is also a mobile app which you can download such as Wechat, NFC.
