Notice about Registration and Teaching Arrangements during Postponement of 2020 Spring Semester

Dear international students,

       Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Wuhan University has decided to postpone the spring semester. Specific date of school re-opening will be notified later once it’s decided. All students should NOT return to school before confirmed notice. During the postponementteachers’ teaching and students’ study shall continue.

I.Registration

The registration for spring semester of 2020 will proceed in two steps:

Step 1: Online registration on Feb 13th and 14thStudents register with SIE by sending your student ID, Passport name, passport number by email to sie_jxb@whu.edu.cn.

Step 2: Students return to school for registration in accordance with the time and procedure of future notice.

II.Teaching Arrangement

From Feb 17th on, until the university re-opens officially, all courses scheduled will be online using web resources and technologies.

1.Post-graduates: please check your course timetable, keep in contact with your school teaching secretary, your supervisor and teachers and start your study and research on time accordingly.

2.Undergraduates and all exchange students on undergraduate level: Please check your course schedule in undergraduate system, join your class groups for information and help, get registered on the online teaching system (http://i.chaoxing.com/vLoginPage) and be prepared to start your classes Feb 17th.

3.Students on Chinese language study including exchange students of Chinese major and future degree students now on preparatory Chinese study: please check your course timetable in class groups, log on the online teaching system under teachers’ instructions and be prepared to start your course online Feb 17th.

III.Important notes

1.Students are supposed to join online study on schedule. The system will keep record of attendance automatically. If you have time differences, difficulty in access to internet, etc. please report to your teachers beforehand.

2.Graduates of 2020 should keep in touch with your supervisors on WeChat, QQ, telephone or email and keep up to your graduation thesis and other tasks if any as supervisors required.

3. Undergraduates (and exchange students of undergraduate level) can select or cancel public compulsory and selective courses offered by SIE. You can apply for selection or cancellation in each course group before March 2nd. Course list and access to groups are attached.

Other undergraduate courses selection and cancellation are also submitted online with the teaching office of each school from Feb 17thto March 2nd.

Changing of PE course selection can be done from Feb 18th to 21st on the WeChat official account named “珞珈体育” after registering your student ID.
