Article 1 In order to cultivate the law-abiding consciousness of international students of Wuhan University and regulate the application process of residence permit for international students of Wuhan University, in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Exit and Entry Administration", "Implementation Rules for the Entry and Exit of Foreigners of the People's Republic of China", and "Wuhan University International Student Status" this method is formulated in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations such as the Administrative Measures, the Administrative Measures for the Enrollment and Training of International Students in Schools, and the actual conditions of the school.
Article 2 These measures are applicable to all international students of Wuhan University.
Article 3 Freshmen of international students must enter the country with a valid ordinary passport and X1 visa or X2 visa, and report to the school on time according to the time specified by the school. You can apply for a residence permit only after completing the registration procedures such as payment of fees and purchase of medical insurance.
Article 4 After arriving on campus, new international students must go to Logistics Management Office/Student Apartment Property Management Office, School of International Education, to complete the accommodation registration procedures within 24 hours, and apply for a temporary accommodation registration form for foreigners.
Article 5 After entering China, new international students with a study period of less than 6 months (one semester), if they hold an X2 visa that exceeds their study period, do not need to apply for a residence permit; if it is shorter than their study period, they must apply for a residence permit.
Article 6 Within 7 days after completing the registration procedures, new international students must bring the original and photocopy of the passport, the original and photocopy of the admission notice, the original visa application form (JW201/JW202 form) for foreigners studying in China, and the registration of temporary accommodation form for foreigners, two 2-inch registration photos, physical examination report by Hubei International Travel Healthcare Center, go to Students' Affairs Office, School of International Education to apply for a residence permit, and bring the above materials to the Exit-Entry Administration of Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau to apply for a residence permit.
Article 7 Senior international students who need to return home during the holidays must return to the school and complete the registration procedures before their residence permit expires, then they can apply for an extension of their residence permit. If due to special circumstances, it is impossible to enter China before the expiration of the residence permit, you need to apply for an X1 visa in the Chinese embassy for your country and apply for a new residence permit.
Article 8 Students who fail to graduate on time and need to extend their studies must complete the extension procedures and pay the credit fees within the time specified by the teaching office, and apply for an extension of the residence permit from Students' Affairs Office, School of International Education 10 days before the expiration of the current residence permit.
Article 9 Non-degree students whose study duration have ended and who have applied to continue studying at the school must complete the continuing study procedures and payment procedures before the end of the semester, and apply for a residence permit to extend your residence permit or to extend your residence permit from Students' Affairs Office, School of International Education 10 days before the expiration of the current residence permit.
Article 10 International students who complete their studies on schedule shall leave China before the expiration of their residence permit. For international students who have not left the country before the expiration of their residence permit without proper reason, the school is not responsible for applying for or extending their legal residence permit in China.
Article 11 According to the Regulations of Wuhan Entry-Exit Administration, the school will not extend the residence permit for international students whose academic performance and attendance fail to meet the standards.
Article 12 International students who have changed their student status, such as withdrawing from school or expelling their student status, must immediately apply for a temporary visa from Students' Affairs Office, School of International Education, cancel their original residence permit, and leave China before the expiration of the residence permit. If you fail to comply with the regulations, the Students' Affairs Office will report to the immigration administration and cancel your residence permit.
Article 13 The school is no longer responsible for the application or extension of the legal residence of the family members of the students in China.
Article 14 If an international student fails to apply for a residence permit before the expiration of his entry visa, or fails to apply for extension of his residence permit before the expiration of his residence permit, resulting in the overdue residence permit, all legal consequences shall be borne by the international student.
Article 15 This method is interpreted by the Party Joint Committee School of International Education, Wuhan University.
Article 16 These Measures shall be implemented from the date of promulgation.
