Bridging Industry and Academia: International Students Experience 3D Innovation at ZG Technology

On April 29, 2025, a group of international students from the Advanced Photogrammetry course at Wuhan University visited ZG Technology Co., Ltd., gaining firsthand exposure to China’s cutting-edge developments in photogrammetry and 3D data acquisition. Led by Professor Gao, the students were welcomed by the ZG team and given an in-depth presentation of the company’s latest 3D scanning solutions. The visit reflects Wuhan University’s focus on hands-on learning in international education, receiving positive feedback from students and serving as a model for future teaching practices.

ZG Technology overview

The visit began with an introduction to ZG Technology, a leading enterprise in photogrammetry and 3D digitalization founded by Wuhan University’s Academician Zhang Zuxun and Professor Zheng Shunyi. As part of the Hexagon ecosystem, ZG has strong capabilities in photogrammetry, computer vision, and AI, and holds over 50 national patents and more than 20 major awards—showcasing the successful translation of academic research into industrial innovation.
