Application Guide for China-Link Scholarship Program of Wuhan University
In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding among young people from China and abroad, and to build a platform for the exchange of young scientific research talents worldwide, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established and implemented the Chinese Government Scholarship for short-term scientific research exchanges, known as the 'China Link' program.
I.Program Scheme
1. Categories
General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students.
Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph.D students or faculties.
2. Duration
1-12 months. The start time of studying in China shall be no later than August 31, 2025.
3. Teaching Language
English or Chinese
4. Fields
No restrictions on majors other than Chinese language study. More information on majors can be found at http://admission.whu.edu.cn.
II. Funding
Full scholarship funding will be provided, including tuition fees, on-campus accommodation fees, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (3,000 RMB for general scholars and 3,500 RMB for senior scholars).
III. Eligibility
1. Be a citizen of non-Chinese nationality, with excellent academic and moral qualities, and be in good health, both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.
3. During the application and participation in the program, applicants must be full-time students or faculty members at CSC’s foreign partner universities. For a list of CSC’s foreign partner universities, please refer to Attachment I.

Ⅴ. Application Process
1. Log in to the online application system of Wuhan University (http://fses-admin.whu.edu.cn) and submit your application, selecting "Chinese Government Scholarship" for the program and applying as "General Scholar" if you are current undergraduates or postgraduates; applying "Senior Scholar" if you are current Ph.D candidate or faculties. After completing the application, please send the application number to yquan@whu.edu.cn.
2. After a comprehensive assessment, the university will determine the list of recommended candidates and issue pre-admission notices for the recommended candidates.
3. Applicants who have received the pre-admission materials from the university must log in to the CSC online application system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete the application. The CSC application guide can be found in Attachment II. The Agency No. for Wuhan University is 10486.
4. The pre-admitted students will be recommended to CSC in batches before July 15, October 15, and January 15, 2025.
5. The CSC will provide scholarship final results in batches before August 15, November 15, and February 15, 2025.
