(1) Introduction to Wuhan University
Wuhan University is a prestigious comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a key institution in China's "985 Project" and "211 Project" and is among the first universities included in the "Double First Class" initiative. The university is beautifully situated around East Lake and at the foot of the scenic Luojia Mountain, with a campus renowned for its picturesque landscapes, earning it the reputation of being "China's Most Beautiful University". Wuhan University offers a wide range of disciplines, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary integration, covering 13 academic fields: Philosophy, Economics, Law, Education, Literature, History, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Management, Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies.
(2) Introduction to the Foundation Program
The Foundation Program offers a carefully designed, multi-dimensional, and diverse curriculum that covers a wide range of disciplines, including Economics, Science and Engineering, and Medicine. The program is aimed at helping international students smoothly transition into undergraduate studies. Students who successfully complete the program and pass the assessments will be eligible to enter the undergraduate programs at Wuhan University.

(1) Major Courses: Mathematics: 82 hours, Physics: 60 hours, Chemistry: 66 hours, Biology: 40 hours, Total: 248 hours, plus Chinese language courses

(4) Eligibility
1. Must be a non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport.
2. Must be under 24 years of age.
3. Must have a Chinese language proficiency equivalent to HSK Level 3 (students who reach HSK Level 4 can proceed to undergraduate studies).
4. Must be in good physical and mental health.
(5) Application Process
1. Online Application
Visit http://admission.whu.edu.cn to create an online account.
Select "Foundation Program" and follow the website instructions to complete personal information and upload required application materials.
2. Submit Application Materials
ü A copy of the personal information page of the passport (valid at least until May 2025) and, if applicable, the China visa page.
ü Proof of Chinese language proficiency (or exemption based on the university's assessment).
ü Proof of financial capability or economic guarantor (at least USD 2,500).
ü If the applicant has previously studied in China, a recent (within 6 months) certificate of no criminal record is required.
Note: The above materials do not need to be mailed. They should be submitted during the online application process through Wuhan University's registration system.
