No,applicant need not to pay application fee as a CSC scholarship applicant in Wuhan University.

4.How to apply for the CSC scholarship of Undergraduate Programs/Chinese Language Programs/Non-degree Scholar Programs?

Please apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship - Bilateral Program (BP). Submit application materials to Chinese Embassy in applicant’s home country. Applicants should fill in the form with Wuhan University as Target University. To specify the application period, please contact the embassy. If the students fail to reach the required Chinese language level, he or she will have to receive language training of one to two years in pre-university education institute designated by China Scholarship Council. The details may be found in the CSC website http://laihua.csc.edu.cn.


5. How to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship-Graduate Student Program in Wuhan University?
Two approaches:
·Submit application materials to Chinese Embassy in applicant’s home country. Applicants should fill in the form with Wuhan University as Target University. To specify the application period, please contact the embassy for the Chinese Government Scholarship programs. 
·Submit enrollment application for Master’s Degree or Ph.D. Degree Program within the period of Jan. and March to Wuhan University for the Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University program. 


6. What is the application deadline, and when is the scholarship result of Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program announced?

Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program should submit the application between the Beginning of Jan. -- 31st March, and the final list of scholarship winners will be informed in June.


7.Should I apply online for Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program and Belt & Road Program? What are the matters needing attention for the application?

Please Register and apply online in CSC at http://laihua.csc.edu.cn. Fill the agency No. with the Wuhan University code 10486, the agency name with " Wuhan University ", then register and apply online in Wuhan University at http://admission.whu.edu.cn/ . It is the same option of program---CGS(Chinese Government Scholarship) in the application system of Wuhan University for Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program and Belt & Road Program.


8. If I need to send the application documents?  and Where?

At the beginning, you need not to send us hard copy of your application documents if you apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program and Belt & Road Program. Only those applicants who pass the first trial will be informed to mail us the hard copy of your application documents around the beginning of April, and send us the complete application documents with the following address:

9. How to fill the “Name of Contact Person or Organization in China” in CSC application form, may I fill with the information of staff of Wuhan University?

You should fill with the information of your relatives and friends in China, if there is no, please fill in the form of your embassy and consulate in China. Emergency contact person in China may not fill in the International Student Office or related staff of Wuhan University.


10. I am a fresh graduate this year (not in China), and have not yet obtained a degree certificate, how to do?

Please go to the relevant department of the School (Department of Education, Graduate school) to issue a pre-graduation certificate.


11.My school diploma and transcripts are not English or Chinese, how to do?

Please translate into English or Chinese, and make it notarized in the notary office.


12. Are there specific formats and requirements for the Professor's recommendation letter?

There is no specific format. Letters of recommendation suggest that professors in this field of study are required to write their own autographs.


13. Can I apply for a Chinese government scholarship when I am in graduate school?

NO. The scholarship program is in principle only awarded to freshmen.


14.What majors cannot apply for the Chinese government scholarship-Chinese University program and Belt & Road Program?

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship to study the national language or English, French and other third language literature, as well as master degree program of Business administration.


15. I applied for a Chinese course, but my Chinese base is relatively low, can I apply for a Chinese government scholarship in Wuhan University to pursue a postgraduate degree?

Yes. If your Chinese level fails to meet the requirements of our school, we can apply for 1-2 years of Chinese tutoring at our School of international education.


16. Can I contact my target Supervisor in Wuhan University in advance?

Yes. If you have contacted the target supervisor in advance and have received a reply, please enclose the relevant email or letter in the application material.


17. Do I need to mail the application document to Wuhan University if I apply for the CSC scholarship through China overseas Embassy (Consulate) or other organizations?

No need. Please mail the application materials to the overseas application organizations. But the applicants are required to register and fill the our university application form online, then submit all your electronic application documents in Wuhan University website http://admission.whu.edu.cn/.


18.How to obtain the pre-admission notice of Wuhan University for the applicants of Chinese Government Scholarship-Bilateral Program

First of all, please contact the Chinese Embassy in the country where the applicant is located, and after the audit, obtain award letter for Chinese Government Scholarship (support certificate); Applicants are required to submit at http://admission.whu.edu.cn/ all relevant application documents to the admission office of school of International Education of Wuhan University online. The qualified applicant will receive the pre-admission notice issued by the Admissions office of Wuhan University, afterthat the applicant may submit the pre-admission certificate and other application materials to the Chinese foreign embassies and consulates as required.


19.Which program category should I choose in CSC application system?

Program category Type A generally refers to scholarship programs by authorities other than Chinese Universities. e.g. Chinese Embassy in your countries.

Program category Type B generally refers to scholarship programs responsible by Chinese universities under Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program.
